District Council members will vote on the 2022-2023 District Leaders at the District Council Meeting.

MAY NEWS: VIRTUAL DISTRICT COUNCIL MEETING – TUESDAY, MAY 17

Virtual District Council Meeting (DCM) Tuesday, May 17, 5 pm to 7 pm

Club presidents and VPs of education, as members of the District Council, are requested to attend and represent their club at the District Council meeting. We need a quorum to elect next year’s district officers and conduct other business. Proxies are not allowed for virtual meetings. Please note that this year’s meeting is being held on the Tuesday before conference.

RISE UP – CELEBRATE YOUR SUMMIT!
at District 3 Conference May 20 – 21, 2022

COUNTDOWN TO – A weekend of fun and camaraderie with fellow Toastmasters and friends. Celebrate your achievements and hear from 3 inspiring keynote speakers about what you can achieve by taking it to the next level.

 

Just 4 days left to purchase IN-PERSON tickets – Get inspired during live educational sessions, network with fellow Toastmasters, share in the celebration of achievements, and cheer for your 2022 division speech contest winners as they compete in the District Table Topics and International Speech Contests. May 6, 2022 is the last day to purchase any in-person ticket for Conference.

Virtual Conference tickets must be purchased by 11:30 pm on May 19, 2022.

Virtual tickets solely for the district contests may be purchased up until shortly before each contest begins. Virtual International Contest tickets will be available up to 7 pm on May 21st.

OUTSTANDING TOASTMASTER OF THE YEAR (OTMOTY)
Deadline to Submit Nominations – July 1, 2022

Nominations for Outstanding Club Member (OCM) are complete and separate from OTMOTY. It’s time to consider your OTMOTY nomination. You could nominate your OCM or yourself.
Each year, the District recognizes a Toastmaster whose dedication and commitment has significantly served their Club, Area, Division or District. To nominate someone for this award or yourself, complete and submit the online form. It will be reviewed by the committee, and the winner will be announced at the annual awards celebration.

Member Promise + Bonus!

Pay It Forward – May and June are PIF months

Help a club by Paying It Forward. Go to https://aztoastmasters.org/pay-it-forward/ for guidelines. Contact a club on the list, attend their meeting, complete the reporting form, and be eligible for prizes.

Distinguished Club Program (DCP)

The first 50 clubs to achieve Distinguished status by June 1 will receive a $50 TI gift certificate. VPs of Education, send an email to dcp@aztoastmasters.org.

Tipping Point for your club’s next DCP goal

Toastmasters International Membership Building Program

Clubs adding five new, dual or reinstated members between May 1 and June 30 will receive a Beat the Clock ribbon to display on your club’s banner.
