ANNUAL AWARDS
Outstanding Club Member
Does your club have a member that improves your club experience? Your club can honor a member’s service by selecting them to be your club’s Outstanding Member of the Year. This year, all outstanding club members will automatically be nominated for Outstanding Toastmaster of the Year.
Outstanding Toastmaster Of The Year (OTMOTY)
Every year, an outstanding Toastmaster is chosen for each area, division, and at the district level. Do you know a member who is an exemplary Toastmaster? Do they act and operate with a high sense of integrity? Show your respect for their contribution by nominating them.
Outstanding Area & Division Director
The district also chooses one outstanding area director and one outstanding division director. Has your Area or Division Director helped you and your club? Show you appreciate their excellence by nominating them.
Submitting all of these nominations has never been easier! Just submit the member’s name with a short paragraph describing why you are nominating them, and you are done! Nominations are due by July 15, 2020.
TOASTMASTERS LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE (Summer TLI)
The new Toastmasters’ year is right around the corner! This means all club officers — whether new or experienced — should be given tools and resources to be well-equipped to perform their roles. Please plan on taking advantage of this officer training opportunity with the District’s Summer Toastmasters Leadership Institute (TLI). TLI isn’t just for club officers — we encourage ALL members to attend! Attending this summer session from the comfort of your own home is convenient and easy, not to mention – ABSOLUTELY FREE!
At Summer 2020 TLI, you will learn the Toastmasters’ secret sauce. The secret sauce can’t be found in the manuals, and our experts are going to share it with you! All Summer 2020 TLI events will be held virtually via Zoom and registration is now open.
With these online sessions, we want to ensure all members are prepared and able to fully participate; we will be offering training sessions before the event to learn how to use Zoom effectively with ease (more information to come). In addition, individual Zoom tutoring sessions will also be available! For the months of June and July, you can sign up for group sessions or your own personal tutoring lesson! If you’re interested in helping out with TLI, we are in need of facilitator assistants and sergeants at arms to assist with technology (muting, unmuting, answer chat questions, etc.). CLUB OFFICER ELECTIONS
Remember to elect your club’s new officers as soon as possible and submit them to Toastmasters International through Club Central NO LATER THAN 30TH, 2020.
