An Interview with “K”
In today’s fast-paced and competitive world, personal growth and self-improvement have become increasingly important. In this brief interview, I had the pleasure of speaking with Kaukaha Watanabe, who goes simply by, “K,” about his experience with Tucson Toastmasters.
As a professional realtor in Tucson and a member of Toastmasters, K knows firsthand the importance of effective communication and leadership skills in his industry. That’s why he encourages his team members to join Toastmasters, the international organization dedicated to helping individuals improve their public speaking and leadership skills.
Benefits to the Member
In a recent interview with K, he spoke about the benefits of being a member of Toastmasters, and how it can help his team members achieve personal and professional success. K expressed his belief in continually striving to be better by stepping outside of our comfort zone and taking on new challenges. K feels strongly that by joining Toastmasters, anyone can develop their communication skills and become a more effective leader, not to mention a better communicator. K believes that joining Toastmasters will help his team members become more comfortable with impromptu and public speaking. In real estate, being able to communicate effectively is essential. Whether speaking with clients, colleagues, or stakeholders, you need to be able to convey ideas authentically, clearly, and persuasively.
When asked about the impact of Toastmasters on his personal and professional life, K says, “I believe that joining Toastmasters can have a similar impact on anyone who is willing to put in the time and effort to improve themselves.” For K, Toastmasters has been a valuable tool for personal and professional development, and he encourages everyone to take advantage of this opportunity to challenge themselves, meet like-minded people, and achieve their goals.
K’s commitment to personal development has not only elevated his career, but it has also advanced a culture of growth within his team. Tucson Toastmasters
The Tucson Toastmasters has been successful recruiting members throughout the year. One of our most reliable means of creating awareness of our club and signing up new members is through word-of-mouth. Many of our club members bring guests from their professional circles, whether it is from their place of work, through their volunteer service, school, or other social groups. K has proven time and again how powerful it is to model leadership behaviors. Not only has he helped the Tucson Toastmasters club grow, but he has also fostered growth and continual drive for excellence within his own team.
