Dear Club Officers of District 3,
We are excited for the new 2020-2021 Toastmaster year. We are looking forward to growing and learning with you this year. We have some announcements and reminders to share with you from our district leadership team.
CLUB PROXIES FOR INTERNATIONAL ELECTIONS
We will be electing International Directors/Officers and vote on proposals during the business meeting at the annual convention. If you plan to attend and vote, then please do so. If you do not plan to attend, or do plan to attend but do not know enough about the candidates or proposals, then please make sure you assign your proxies to the District Director or another Toastmaster that has reviewed the candidates and proposals no later than August 15th. Please note only the club President or club Secretary can vote or assign proxies for the club. Need a refresher on how to assign proxies? Watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHABNvd53tQ. The first 30 clubs that assign their club proxies by August 15th will earn a club ribbon pack!
CALL FOR AREA DIRECTORS
We are still looking for two more area directors for the 2020-2021 leadership year. Do you have an outstanding club member who is looking to grow into the next level of leadership? Ask them to be an area director. The areas where we still need area directors are Mesquite 1 (Tucson), and Cholla 4 (Northwest Phx). If you are interested please email DD@aztoastmasters.org.
Introducing the 2020-2021 D3 Distinguished Club Program (DCP) Carnival! Your club can win fabulous prizes by earning DCP goals. The EARLIER you earn goals, the MORE POINTS they are worth. The DCP Carnival runs from July 1st 2020 through April 30th 2021. View more details HERE.
Bonus!!! The first 30 clubs to turn in their full Club Success Plan to DCP@aztoastmasters.org before July 30th will earn an officer pins set for their club!
TOASTMASTERS LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE (Summer TLI)
Club officers should attend Club Officer Training to be prepared to have a successful 2020-2021 year. Having at least four (4) club officers attend the training helps the club receive credit for the first part of DCP Goal #9.
If you have not registered yet, the next summer session is July 25th and we have scheduled a new FINAL session on August 15th from 9 am – 1 pm. This training is FREE and is open to ALL members! We encourage all club officers and members to attend!

All Summer 2020 TLI sessions will be held virtually via ZOOM. If you’re interested in helping out with TLI, please email TLI Chair Katlyn “Kate” Ewens at TLI@aztoastmasters.org.
