There’s been a lot of exciting things happening with our Club Growth and Membership teams – and we’re not done yet!

CLUB COACH PROGRAM
Are you interested in being a club coach to help a club build membership and achieve excellence? Coaches who help clubs achieve Distinguished status or higher in the Distinguished Club Program will receive credit in the education program and a certificate of accomplishment. If a club coach role is successfully completed on June 30, 2020, your club coach credit can count toward both the club support and the district leadership requirements for an ALS or a DTM award. CLUB EXTENSION
SPONSOR AND MENTOR OPPORTUNITIES LIMITED
District 3 averages chartering 10-12 new clubs a year. That means there are only a few Sponsor and Mentor opportunities available.
Know the FACTS:
A Sponsor – Guides a new group to complete the chartering process and gets credit when the club charters. It may take only a few months or it could take one year or more.
A Mentor – Advises a new club in the Toastmasters experience, attending meetings through the first 6 months after chartering. Credit is received when the new club President or other officer submits the successful completion of 6 months service by the mentor to the club.
Timeline – 6/30/20 Deadline for traditional DTM award. To receive Sponsor award, the new club must charter before 6/30/20. To receive Mentor award, mentorship of the newly chartered club must begin in December 2019 to complete 6 months of service.
ARE YOU ON THE LIST?
There are NO GUARANTEES of Sponsor or Mentor opportunities this year, even if you are on the list; but, if you haven’t submitted your request in writing to newclubs@aztoastmasters.org and received an acknowledgment of receipt, you are not on the list. Speaking with us verbally is not sufficient.
To get on the LIST, make sure you send us an email with the following 3 things:
1. Why you want to serve as a Sponsor or Mentor
2. Summarize your credentials (e.g. years in TM, club officer roles, education awards)
3. Your availability for club meetings or demo meetings
