Mentor Moments

Words of wisdom for all Toastmasters

Mentor Moments are a wonderful tool to help both new clubs and existing clubs to establish norms and expectations.  To work most effectively, Mentor Moments are scheduled as a meeting opening or closing remark and are presented either by a club mentor (in a new club), or by a club coach or experienced member (in established clubs).

A Mentor Moment presents a single concept or theme one that can be explained in one minute and is reinforced by a supporting one-page document.  Topics available include functionary responsibilities, protocol, tips for success, and club traditions. Clubs are encourage to keep a notebook of the Mentor Moments for future reference.

Mentor Moments are an extremely effective way to improve meeting quality by making members aware of expectations.  encourage and inform your club mentors with any of the following Mentor Moments
