Speaker Exchange

Looking for a new audience?  Try Speaker Exchanges!  Work with your Club VP Education to contact neighboring clubs in your meeting area and arrange to exchange Speakers.  Speaker Exchanges offer members of each club the chance to hear new speakers and get new feedback from members outside their home clubs.

Educational Session Leaders

Thinking about a career as a motivational speaker?  Consider starting here.  Each year, District 3 conducts various leadership events which may include educational sessions.  To select session leaders, the district looks for advanced Toastmasters members of District 3 who exemplify communication and leadership qualities and demonstrate strong facilitation skills.  If you consider yourself a candidate for session leader or know of a fellow Toastmaster member you'd like to recommend as a candidate, contact the Lt. Gov. Education & Training (LGET).

Leadership Institute Facilitator

Many of the educational requirements for club officer training come directly from the Toastmasters educational programs.  Since conducting these same programs also contributes to individual member educational achievements, District 3 regularly invites ACS and ACG candidates to present educational modules at Toastmasters Leadership Institute (TLI).  To better prepare these candidates,  the TLI Faciliator Coordinator conducts Train-the-Trainers programs prior to the TLI facilitator selection process for each Summer & Winter TLI.  Watch the TLI Facilitator page for more information or contact the TLI Chairman.

International Speech Contestant

The most prestigious speech contest is the International Speech Contest.  Beginning each February, members start the journey towards the final contest held in August.  Qualifying speech contests are held at the Club, Area, Division, District, and Regional levels.  Contest winners advance from each of the competing levels culminating with the final round of contestants competing at the International Convention in August for the crown of "World Champion of Public Speaking".  Contact your Club VP Education for contest details and eligibility requirements.

Accredited Speaker

Ready to become a professional speaker?  The Accredited Speaker program is for individuals who have demonstrated outstanding speaking skills in major presentations outside of Toastmasters.  Qualified applicants to the program must be an ACB or higher member in good standing and have had a minimum of 25 speaking engagements outside of Toastmasters clubs within the past three years of their application date.  More information about this program can be found on the Toastmasters International website.
