Toastmasters Speech Contests

 

The purpose of speech contests is to provide an opportunity for members to improve their speaking abilities, to recognize the best as encouragement to all and to provide an opportunity to learn by observing the more proficient speakers who have benefited from their Toastmasters training. A number of different contests are offered and successful contestants will compete at the Club, Area, Division and District levels.  International Speech contestants go on to compete at the Region level and then at the World Championship of Public Speaking at the International Convention.  The International Speech contest is held every year but other contests, chosen by Districts, may not be conducted every year. 

 

The contests selected for the Spring 2008 contest season are the International Speech Contest and Evaluation Contest. Click the "Area Contests" link above to see when your Area contest is scheduled.
